As some of you know im back in the hobby of fish keeping again. I started having a fish tank since i was 5 years old now 30. I always have a fish tank of some sort when i was growing up. I had all sorts of fish from guppies to discus to silver arowana's to saltwater reef tanks.
Flowerhorns caught my eye approximately 6 years ago. I bought my first one in NY, It was a blue dragon. I had that fish for atleast 3 years until it caught some sort of disease and found the fish upside down one morning. It was a very said day for me. I really loved that fish. I gave my tank to a friend as i got really busy at work.. got married and bought a place to live.
After moving in one of the first furniture we bought was a 75 gallon tank that i decided to put in the living room area. The first fish that came to my mind was flowerhorns so i bought a flowerhorn on AB. I was so excited to receive the fish but a tragic thing happened. The transhipper recommended to use the local post office for overnight shipping to save some dollars. Took a day off from work anxiously waiting for the fish to arrive in my door step but it was past the delivery time there was still no fish. So the delivery man as he was putting our mail in the mail box. I asked him if he has a package for me. He said he doesnt... I was speechless for awhile. I called the post office asap and told them im expecting a overnight package of live fish gave them the tracking no. etc. they check there computers but they cant locate my package so after 3 days they found it and delivered me a dead fish. The reason for late delivery was for some reason they forgot it on a trailer somewhere. I was so upset. I contacted the seller and told him what happened. The seller was so nice that he sent me another fish even it was not his fault why the fish died.
This was the fish that i bought.... it was so nice i was really heart broken

The fish i received after 3 days...

Free replacement fish i got form the seller....

After a few weeks wait i finally got my replacement... after having the fish for a month I woke up one morning, i turned the lights on to feed my fish and to my surprise no fish on the tank. My heart rate sky rocket after finding a dead fish on the floor. For some reason it made its way out from a one inch opening at the back of the tank. I was so pissed. I emptied the tank that afternoon and was so heart broken i left the tank empty for awhile.
Until few weeks ago... my wife encouraged me to set the tank back up again. As it adds beauty to the room especially at night when the aquarium lights is on. So without further adieu here is my empty tank that has cycled water ready for my new flowerhorn.

Here is the fish that made my heart skip a beat ... it will be shipped this sunday from Thailand to MD. Im still debating if i will take the drive from NJ to MD or have it shipped to me.

Updates will be done along the way ... Thanks for looking.
