I clean tanks for a living, so my tanks at home suffer some neglect when I get home. I change 5 gallons maybe once a month. But I have to top off every few days. I hardly ever check the parameters. I hardly ever feed too. In a way, all the corals and clams act as filtration, along with the liverock and the refugium. I really think the refugium makes a really huge difference as far as tank health goes.

It takes over like a weed. It does add some neat life with the way it pulses and waves in the current, but it just grows too fast. I had some isolated on a rock in my 90 when it was salt, but thats too hard to do in such a small tank like my 20.

Here is an update. I had to take everything out and rebuild. Had some big problems. But its all fixed now and ready to go.
