Anyone here have a Koi pond?
I have a wish since childhood to own a large Koi pond and I think that I'm getting closer to my dream.
Koi experts please show some of your pics and share some references where to get high quality stock.
And please feel free enlighten me with your knowledge about Koi.

No koi pond here but would be nice to have something like that in the front yard. Year round pond even in cold weather like NY.

How much research have you done so far in grading a koi?

I have absolutely zero experience in Koi.
But I am not too critical as long as the body conformation is good and the fish are healthy.
I have seen the long fin type and I don't like them.
I rather have a couple of solid blacks, whites, yellows, orange, red, and calicos.

I used to have a koi pond before. High quality can be expensive. go to www.inlandkoi.com this place have qaulity koi imported from japan. domestic koi are more cheaper. There are other website but I like this one the best. they do not need heater. They can survive even when there are ice on top of there pond. koi can be addicted too just like FH...:) GL

Awesome link Dan.
I ran into a nice place on 10 acres with a bigass concrete pond in front of the house. Looks like professional design too.
Got my offer put in yesterday so I'm keeping my fingers cross. It's a perfect match for me and I'm praying my dreams will come true on this one.
