Greetings. I recently received a message on my Youtube page about posting in this forum, so here I am :) I have recently returned to Discus keeping after a while keeping a reef. It is a 48x 18x 15 aquarium with a sump. I don't really want to breed from them as I don't currently have the facilities, although a pigeon and marlboro have paired and regularly produce viable offspring. Usually by day 3 or being a wriggler, they are eaten. I also have two pairs of blue rams consistently producing broods, again being eaten. I don't have a photobucket account yet, so more pictures can be seen on my website here, it also shows the set up I had when importing from Malaysia. I will add a few other pics of recent fish below though.

These pictures were all taken about 3 months ago with a still reasonably new tank, a pH of 8 and hardness of 8dH. There are newer pictures that I haven't uploaded yet and also videos on my Youtube page.

Jin Kang Group: Staff Posts: 255 Joined: 1-November 07 Member No.: 97 Country :	Beautiful Discus. They look like they're happy with that Ph. Especially since they're breeding in it too. Is your water pretty hard as well? With my Angelfish pairs I always blamed their inability to produce viable eggs on the hard water and higher Ph but I'm thinking now they may have actually been female pairs. This time as I have my RO from marines I have brought the pH down to 6 using 50/50, but need to buffer the water now as the filter has matured and is causing pH drop.
