This was a fish bred by cousin and given to me ever since it was a fry. Lived a soild 4 years. It died awhile ago just never posted it 4.gif 4.gif Still to traumatic. It died quite suddenly because there has been so many other occasions where he should of died. For example, no power in the middle of winter for three days and the nasty case of skin flukes I've ever seen. He's a champ at 11 inches. This is was him at his finest moments.

Out of all flowerhorn deaths stories. This one touched me because he's been through so many rough painful times and now dead. That makes me sad. All the other FHs that were well treated their whole life by their owners never touch me when they die. Just another dead fish. Not this one.

R.I.P. fishy.

Thanks! Yea I loved the yellow on him especially! It reminds me of old banana color of the older breeds.

The funny thing is bro I did try to breed him with a female carpinte texas, but it turn out that the female gave him the really bad skin flukes that almost killed him. hehe but he was a "G" and recovered nicely.

He was really stocky. When he passed my net couldn't even hold him haha. Had to take him out by hand(wearing gloves of course). Currently trying to feel the void with my new Kamalau. hehe

Thanks. I tried to breed him, but never was able too with him for some reason.

Thanks man! Like I said I can't believe how he survived this long man. This fish was the main reason why I got hooked onto FH.

A few pics after the power came back on and he was back in the tank. If you guys remember around two or so years ago, here in the State of Washington he had one of the nasty storm ever to hit us. Wiped out my discus setup, my saltwater setup, and other tanks with various Apistogrammas , but my flowerhorn held though.
