it's dyed porgy. This LFS in Dearborn that I visit ocassionally has some that are died with smiley faces and lipstick. They look SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO friggin retarded but yet they sell like mad. Go figure. It fades over time to natural coloration. Choya, you should pick up that red dragon, looks like a sweet old school fish man. Has some nice head potential too. How much was it?

Ya, there is a shop near me that has parrots like this. They tatoo a flower or heart on some of them and then others are dyed green or purple or blue. I don't like it. Those poor guys must just about die when they are being colored. That can't be good for them. Besides, they are some of the nicest looking fish without that crap, why do that?

Yup, I feel sorry for the little parrots... They look so unhappy... And joe, The RD costs $125.00... And it was already sold when I got there... There was a big sign on the side of the tank that said SOLD!!! Lol! I wouldn't be able to afford him anyways... :-)

I read an article in Tropical Fish Hobbiest magazine about the fish dyeing process. It says that when they die them it actually burns the die into their bodies and yes they loose a large number of fish in the process. I agree its looks stupid. There's a lfs here that sells them.
