So my parent flowerhorn's had kids a couple of days ago, and not I see these really small white like worms. I don't want to add any chemicals for the fear of killing the children.

I went to the LFS and they said just do regular water changes and the babies as they grow will eat these worms. But... that raises concerns as well

The babies are to small to move, and i'm not sure what to do. I've added salt, increased the temp etc increased the PH a bit and don't know what else to do to remove these worms.

Description of the worms are tiny, and white. Kind of like a really tiny white snake.

Any suggestions?

Also, I google'd these worms and google said that the worms are in the tank from food in the tank, the LFS person said that they probably are fly larva, and shouldn't be concerned.

planaria is what google said these fish probably are.

If my fish consume these worms, will I be required to de-worm my fish?

planaria, they are harmless. They will make good fry food too. I would syphon the fry out with a large tube and put them in a 10-20 gallon tank for now, or larger if you have it. If you decide to use HOB filter, make sure to attach a pre filter sponge with a rubberband or two. Grind up some flake food, or use Jake's trick of putting pellets in a peppermill to feed them. Those worms come from overfeeding and will go away if you don't overfeed and keep up with water changes. Nothing to worry about jarli.

Yea, I wasn't sure. I did limit the water flow of the filter and then the next day I saw these worms.. I'll have to get some sponge and lower it with that rather then what im using.

Thanks

an airstone may help. I raise mine in 10-20 gallon tanks untill they get some size then they go in larger tanks. I use s sponge or pop bottle filter in my fry tanks.

I have my fry's in a 55g. I just need to limit water suction, without limiting the water flow I guess.

Thanks

I estimate about 75 babies.

They are still tiny. But I can definitely save some.
