ARE THEY FEMALE OR MALE?????

Your Zhen Zhu is up in the air male or female? Flip a coin. Red devils have more pointed snouts with wild specimens having thicker lips hence the name labiatus. True red devils are not yellow either. True midas are yellow or have yellow on them hence the name citrinellus and they have a shorter snout. Put two side by side and you will see the difference.

Midas and red devil are basically the same fish with little differences. You will 99.9% always get a hybrid of the two. Anyone who tells you its a pure midas or red devil that they are selling you is wrong. The only way to get one pure is to catch a wild one personally and have it genetically tested. No matter what genes show dominant of the two they are in my opinion one of the coolest cichlids around. Oh yeah, customs agents aren't marine biologists.
