Well, this time I got a few wrigglers.
Minutes after the Kamfa was picked up, I noticed the parrot picked up a dark egg with a tiny tail and spat into gravel. Now I see a few here and there.
I was palnning to take down the tank today...
The last pic of the Kamfa 2 days ago.

Dude, you shouldn't have gotten rid of that kamfa bro, thats the reason why the head was down, because he wanted to breed. Now some one has an awesome fertile kamfa, which is rare! try to grow out those babies!

Thanks guys.
The fertility rate is very low - 5 - 10%, one reason could be they are both young. They already had it once 2 weeks ago, saw some dark eggs but never met the babies. Well, I have 1 salvini, 2 Yellow labs, and 1 pictus cat in the tank.
Taking down the tank today, will put the rest of eggs in a tub, and see if I can syphon out some wrigglers...

Ken, the Kamfa is gone, parrot is pending sale...

You should definitely try to breed that fertile male Kamfa again but the original pairing should produce some awesome offspring because the male had great red coloration and pearling and the female was an awesome red color. I can't believe you broke the pair up. The first spawn should turn out really nice, colorwise, kok is kinda unpredictable with the male being so young but the new owner should consider himself lucky. HITH is really easy to treat so no worries there. 139.gif

I don't think he has HITH. Those are sensor pits and always there. I fed him NLS almost exclusively, and water has always been pristine. Be careful using any meds.
He is a moody b, and it'll take a while to get used to a new owner.
When I was checking out the eggs through glass, the parrot always charged to my face, the kamfa would gentally mouthed her away, every time... Never seen this behavior against the female other time.
