So far 3 small blue crayfish is occupying the tank.. going to breed some guppies in this tank. Only java moss in the tank, imma start playing with the aquascaping a little bit - looks pretty horrible atm
btw anyone use these soils? I found them in home depot and it seems safe for aquatic use, i m going to mix them with the eco soil -------------------- |

Now all you need is a bunch of Mystery Snails and maybe a couple of nice colored Ramshorns. Looks like a good start. I love Java Moss it grows like crazy in any kind of lighting and water. And looks really nice when it covers the driftwood and rocks. I'd take those Crayfish out of there though, they'll eat all your baby Bristlenoses.

Can I be on the list of planted nerds with Cherry Shrimps, Yellow Shrimps, and Snails comin' out my ears?
Oh! By the way, if anyone wants any Java Moss just let me know. I pull it off the filter intakes in my 120 gallon tank by the handfuls every day and usually throw it away cuz I'm out of other tanks to put it in. -------------------- |

Are you guys using any CO2 and fertilizers?
I am more than happy to share my plants with any members; however they require CO2 and fertilizers which means you got to have very strong lighting, over 3wpg. Plants such as swords and java ferns might work without CO2 and fertilzer but they would love Excel and a root tap fertilizer. Cherry shrimps are very sensitive to water parameter. I could never keep cherry shrimps alive in my tank. -------------------- Know fish or No fish

lane not looking good bro. Im starting to think that the lighting system is not powerful enough or perhaps i really need co2 system as some of the plants starting to turn yellow on me. Any co2 product online that you can direct me to? Try Excell for now and see if that will work out. Excell is liquid carbon source. What's your total light wattage/gallon? It may be ok getting yellow leaves as long as you can see new one coming out. They may need some time to adjust to your tank. But it is a good idea to trim off all the dead/dying leaves so that the other ones can harness the light. Try that first. But if you need CO2, I suggest you get a Milwauki regulator to go with pressurized CO2. Trust me with the DIY yeast crap. It is a pain in the ass and you will eventuall go with pressurized CO2. I'll get you the source for hte regulator when I get home. The CO2 cylinder, you can get find them on Craig's List. -------------------- Know fish or No fish
