Alright, i saw someone locally had a setup a while back that involves pvc where he had 3 or 4 10 gallons connected without drilling but simply using pvc and the suction of some sort. Im thinking of running some small tanks but dont want to waste a heater in each tank, any thoughts?

Ya I wanted to do somthing like this but you have to be sure the 10g does not have a tempered bottom which I heard is a common practice. You can get the bits cheap online and there are lots of videos on how to just take your time. There was a cool setup done with plastic tubs, may be the best option and put 2 a couple heaters in a sump.

Dan, the way i saw this guy do it is without drilling which cuts down cost and labor. Only problem i think he was an engineer lol, i cant figure out how the system worked

it might have been siphon fed but if siphon breaks its a PITA, why not drill for over flow

There are ways to do it but if you lose power you lose siphon, which could be fixed with an aqualifter but just more piece to break :)
http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=101156 Thats the info you need but really to me its better to drill your own 10g and not have to worry about siphon. -------------------- |

Hey Gilbert
thats actually the same idea i have on one of my system right now. Instead of the pvc i use the bulkhead and linked to 3/4" tubing to the next tank. -------------------- |
