With Permission from Splooge on Pfury:

A lot of people keep wondering whether or not Petsmart really price matches items in the store.
The answer is: YES! Petsmart does price match guaranteed.

Now, the controversy comes when some try to price match items using online stores besides Petsmart.com. Quite frankly, at the moment the only word i have on it is that some Petsmart locations will price match using other websites while others will not. I have sent an email (yesterday 1/28) asking what their official terms for price matching are. When i get a response, i will post it here. Until then, the best thing to do is to call your local Petsmart and ask them what their personal policy is. Even if you can only use Petsmart.com at the moment to price match, you can still catch some crazy deals (example: last time i checked, RENA XP3: $179 in store, $104 online)

Edit (2/01): So i got a response finally about the price matching. Here is exactly what they said: "To back up our claim of Everyday Low Prices, we offer to price match items of local retail competitors or petsmart.com. This guarantee states that if a Customer finds a lower price from a legitimate retailer on any identical item that they have purchased from PetSmart, we will price match the competitor's retail price at the PetSmart retail store. This guarantee gives our claim of Everyday Low Prices its credibility and is a vital part of our total company image."

-So based on this, it looks as if any local store is selling cheaper, then they price match too, but no mention of other online sites. Well, i guess some Petsmarts (like the one by me) have it wrong and think it includes other online sites. So if you are lucky too, make sure to take advantage of it while it lasts, but it doesn't look like we'll be pushing them into a company policy corner forcing them to price match other sites any time soon...

For those that still need guidance, here is EXACTLY how you price match (i'll use petsmart.com as the example):
Step 1: Pick item that you want and go to www.Petsmart.com
Step 2: Once at www.Petsmart.com navigate to your desired item
Step 3: Once at your item, use the drop down boxes to select Model and Quantity (or whatever drop down options there are for your item)
Step 4: Once the "Your Price" Section displays your price, print out this page (Only print out the first page, because the second page will be like 2 lines of text and won't affect your price matching ability.)
Step 5: Go to the Petsmart store
Step 6: Pick out your item in store and walk over to the cashier.
Step 7: Once they scan your item, pull out the sheet you printed out and say "I would like to Price match." IF (which is IF because it probably won't happen) the cashier says no, laugh at them and ask for the manager. The manager will come and you tell him/her "I would like to price match this." They should know whats up if the cashier doesn't.
Step 8: The manager will pull out a key, use it on the cash register and enter your price matched price.
Step 9: Pay, puff your chest out a bit, and walk away knowing you just saved a bundle of money while everyone else in the store pays overpriced prices.

Petsmart Price Match policy has been there for a while now, it is true and I have done it myself that you can go cheaper by looking online and printing out the ad (has to have store name, item name and price). Online is always cheaper and it is great to walk out of the store for the price you got it for and not have to wait for delivery, top of that, you have 30 days to return it for cash/credit if you don't like it or defect. LOL

Thanks Petsmart!

It is an older thread but I want everyone to be hooked up on this great deal 44.99 for a AquaClear 110 (500).

http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod...3&catid=115

All you need to do is print this out, show the printed page at the register and watch the managers faces when they have to take 50% off their price. MwAhahaHaHahHAHAhAhHAhaAh~!!
