For RBK i suggest At least two Geneations of Vieja line crossings.... for example

Syn x Parrot you get F1

and out of that F1 you look for Females and Males that show the Characteristics you like

and after you grow them out and test their fertility and see if they are fertile VIa MALE

then you are one lucky bastard... but anywho continuing.... it's good to have several females such as short body and your desired traits / taste

Then you Rebreed the FEmale with the DAD

F1 x SYn (dad) you should get F2

and after F2 you should probably see what you like in them... whenever breeding RBK's you will always get Variations... for me it's been 50 / 50 of Bonsai's / RBK body ..

and my pair was a RBK x King Kong Parrot and that was a fun experience

so it's best to cross what you desire and inbreed it to get your desired look

this in terms get you "RBK" ... like how Sonny Did his was Several Generations to achieve this... and note this... Many RBK's are Late bloomers

so it's best to grow them out and mature each one... that's the challenge you will have to face when making the RBK that's suitable for you / people

Randy,

Randy,

Very good Randy, you are indeed very close to the formula. Add two more generations and you have the mix. :D

so marc are you saying that its safe to say that using a proper bieja speciman and AAA darmo or KKP, will do that job? JUst keep in breeding for selective traits and adding more generations? Maybe even have multiple pairs of vieja x King Kong Parrot and cross their fry and cross them back to the parents will make it happen as well?

Does the vieja have to be a syn what about the other strains like harwegi and bifasciatus because i seen rbk that look more like bifasciatus

A preferable strain is a Synpilum ... as in Happy Breed KKP's they used a Syn x Red Devil as their root of their Breeding ... after that they just selectively breed their specimens till they achieved what they now call their Mammon's

And HighFive is right!!.. couple more generations of good line breeding will achinve what your goal is...

and Also Since you already have a King Kong Parrot or a parrot female ready at hand.... that should be way closer to breeding King Kong Parrot than Breeding a Red Devil X Synpilum

You can also Try to use other strains Spyder but a more preferable strrain is the Syn... if you noticed in Sonny's fish you will see very strong Syn in the Masterpiece he kept and the rest of the other RBK people have

If your willing to spend 6 years trying to make your own strain go ahead.... the reason why i said six is because it takes roughly two - three years for a syn geneticized fish to fully mature Sexually

and growing out all those that you like will also be hard... so try to stick with Two males / Two female from F! and from there work your way out:D or you can sell the rest of the f1 males and when it gets fertile buy it back....

Hope this helped you

Yupp it would... but remember once you crossed your fish this will be a Actual Variation game... and they can be at least 10 different looking fish in one batch.. and it's your taste that counts so you have to decide which is good or not and which isnt for you

Happy Breeding!!! :D

Selective breeding after the first mix.
Thats its folks. Line breeding and combination of inbreeding
and also luck in selection. Selection is the hardest part.
