Theres a street called the "Goldfish" St in Kowloon HK that has at least 20+ lfs that are either right next to each other or across the street. It spans about 2 street so you can imagine what it looks like. Unforutnately for me, i had a tight schedule and these lfs dont open till 11, i only saw a couple of them. This is my priority next time to come visit again im around there

Does that little piece of plant in the bag help the fish? Or is that a decoration?

Well I have heard that plants convert CO2 into oxygen in the daylight, but do the opposite at night time, so maybe they just bag a bunch of fish they think they are going to sell that day and keep the plant in there to make oxygen??? Then put them back in tanks if they do not sell. Just a guess though.

Ya.. they do pack them pretty well with oxygen tanks. I believe those are priced pretty competitively to make them sell well possibly 10-20 hk dollars which equates to about 1.50 - 2.75 in US for each bag.

So true, so true.
Weird isn't it?
There is a shop in Seattle in the nastiest ally that you can imagine.
His tanks are stocked like you wouldn't believe and in each tank is just a little box filter with just a pinch of filter felt yet I've never seen a floater or blue water. Some tanks are so pathetic that those Lee's box filter only get a bubble or two going through them every few seconds. To this day, I still don't understand how those setups can possible maintain any life forms. The funny part about the whole thing is there were more dead bums, crack whores, and gangster shooting victims found dead in front of his shop and ally though out the years than the thousands of fish in his nasty tanks.

So did you see any hybrids?

Yep i did see a few store that had big signs for the flowerhorns but they were opened later in the day so i didnt get to see much of it. However i did see some pricey gorgeous asian aros in the search for fhs.

They would have allowed you out of HK, you would have gotten hooked up here in the states.

I have been tempted to try to bring an Asian arro in through Mexico...............................
