I agree. It looks like fungus... I would treat him with metro (bath) like Will said above.. he should heal but don't let it go to long and make sure your water is pristine..
Good luck! -------------------- ![]() ![]() |

Looks like he's got an infection and the fungus is just a secondary infection.
Move him to a 10gal and treat him with Erythromycin (E.M.), salt, and lots of aeration. E.M. fights wide range bacteria and fungus. If you can't find E.M., you can use any antibiotics that is a broad spectrum for pos and neg bacteria as well as fungus. You don't need to raise the heat, just use the same temp he's in now. Take the water directly from the existing tank and transfer it over to the 10gal. You should do a 50% water change every 2 days with aged water or water from your existing tank of the same temperature and treat for 10 days. Just add more water to your existing tank and use it's water for the hospital tank. Don't feed him anything until the 7th day just a couple of pellets. Good luck. -------------------- Know fish or No fish
