Sorry spyder, I have to disagree with you.
Most situations should be in private, yet some situations should be discussed publicly.
The difference is that if can affect a person's business and reputation.
This thread here has the potential to affect YOUR Corporate Partner, Lauro if we don't see both sides of the story.

My personal experience doing business with Lauro on multiple occasions are all perfect and smooth as can be.
By the way, package is not a factor unless your fish gets beat up or die. Why should it be a problem if the fish arrived in good condition?

I agree with Roundhead. You here from the mods that this forum is a non bias, and open to all discussion. I'll I've heard about Lauro are good things. I do believe he's been doing this for along time. If someone wants to save a penny and go with USPS, that's up to them, but when shipping quotes are given, it's based on FedEX prices. USPS is not very reliabe in getting deliveries, even with they're express delivery. I did it once and never again. Just remember. You get what you pay for. USPS is not the best method for shipping fishes. Thats my 2cents.

RoundHead and Jaydubbler69, I can't disagree with you about Lauro's integrity and professionalism but if you look at the original post, it's really Lauro's frustration and disappointment with one particular member and he made it public. It's not the other way around that you would conclude that the member tried to sabotage Lauro's reputation and business. I really don't think there's a need to do that, if I were Lauro. Don't get me wrong Lauro, I do feel for you - instead of appreciation for the service, you got to hear crap. That sucks, bro.

From .org staff's perspective, we do value and respect all members, from sellers/vendors to hobbyists. And we try do everything we can to protect everybody's image. Regarding this situation, I really see no value in this thread. What are we, as flowerhorn hobbyists, going to get out of this thread? Lauro's reputable service has long been recognized. Why let one single incident separate us apart?

Well maybe a good idea would be to create a "customer feedback" section for partners here??? Some good points where brought up, and it's allways good to hear others experiences when dealing with sellers. I have had Lauro ship fish for me, and he did an excellent job. Fair price, great packaging, and great communication. He did an awesome job and wouldn't think twice about using his services again. With any business, there are good a bad reviews. Sometimes there are just people that you can not please no matter what you do.

The solution is to move it to Lauro's forum since he started the thread.

In my opinion sending via USPS is like spending 100k on a Ferrari and then buying a 5K collision policy, you are asking for trouble and you should have listened to Lauro. You too dumb to realize Lauro wasn't trying to hustle your chump change shipping cost he was trying to save you the money it would cost to replace the dead fish you got from USPS. Instead you insult him and accuse him of cheating you. I can see why Lauro started this thread, I would be tearing my hair out if I had to deal with some of this outright ignorance!

I have used Lauro as a transhipper, he is second to none. Fantastic packing job, shipped a very small fish safely. Being in bumfuck New Hampshire I have to get all of my fish transhipped so I have used quite a few transhippers. Lauro was the cheapest I have used thus far, though all were very comparable to each other cost wise.

I think this was kind of the straw the broke the camels back for Lauro. He went out of his way to accommodate everybody and had to hold fish for weeks, ship fish using special methods and wait for payments despite having a hardship of his own to deal with. Sorry you had to go though this bro! In the future you should look out for yourself, ship with one method and be firm with your price, cant pay too bad. Not worth the headaches bro but I know your a good guy and want to help but there is a reason why they say "Nice guys finish last".

Sometimes negativity is not a bad thing.
I can't speak for Lauro but I will state my personal opinion.
Has it ever occurred to you guys that Lauro is the most quiet person on this site as well as all the other sites and he also does his job for the hobby very well?
I have not yet heard of a DOA from him or any nasty diseases coming from his facility since I've been in the hobby.
Lauro never gets involved in much debates or anything like that.
So if he posted this issue, would you think that it means something of importance for him?
