man, your really dead set that this WILL NOT work, i said he was ruling it, not killing everyone, he barely even chases, only chases to make sure everyone knows hes boss, which is fine, if he starts biting then ill move him.
BTW, this is completely different then last time, last time the fish were 5 times his size bro, this time they are all the same, so it isnt comparable at all to the time before. and besides that, he has never been that badly beat up, last time all that happened was a couple missing scales, that is nothing bro.

Gage, we are speaking from experience. You have new world, old world, and hybrids mixed. Thats a huge problem right there. Then there is the size difference. Then there is the pictures you post of fish with frayed fins. It all adds up to problems down the road bro. If you don't want to listen to people that have been through this, don't say we didn't tell you I was like that when I first got into the hobby and had 20 something cichlids in a 135 (not a 90) and they where all relatively the same size, and there where allways casualties. They where all new world's too, not mixed with other species. They may seem ok now, but over time you will have problems. Not only from aggrestion, but from when a fish dashes away from another fish chasing it and injurs itself. They are your fish bro, and we are just trying to be helpfull because we don't want to see anything happen to your fish. If you think your few years in the hobby gives you more experience than people that have been keeping cichlids since you where pooping in your diapers then so be it, but sooner or later you will learn that sometimes it's best to take the advice of people that have been doing something for a very long time. I personally have tried this several times, and every time it's the same result. Certain fish are at the top of the chain, certain fish are at the bottom. It's the way of nature, and teh end result WILL BE dead or injured fish IMO. If anyone disagrees feel free to speak up, but I tried several times to keep this amount of fish in a larger tank than you have, and allways ended in a bad way.

who said i feel i have more experience, i have told you specifically you guys have more experience then i do, i just wanted to try it for myself, thats all, and it is still working...BTW, who in my tank has torn fins bro? nothing in my tank has torn fins ATM. i dont have any Old World cichlids either... QUOTE Certain fish are at the top of the chain, certain fish are at the bottom. this is what we call dominance, it is in all tanks, even Neon Tetras have a dominance structure. and also, who said this guy was staying in this tank his entire life, not one person has asked if i was buying another tank for these fish, and the answer is YES, i am getting 2 more 75g tanks, one for the Midas, and one for the flowerhorn. im actually regretting posting this thread now, as everyone keep questioning me. i wasnt asking for this, i was asking for comments on the fish! i wasnt expecting this to work long term, and when i see a chase by this fish i will fix the problem, i wasnt expecting this to work passed the 2 day mark to be honest... also, if you guys are sooooo experienced, you should know that all fish have there own individual personalities, and one persons experience is almost never the same as the next, again, i am not doubting you guys are right, but i wanted to try it because i like Midas, so will everyone quit questioning me and bring my age into this, im also sick of everyone telling me "ugh...teenagers" its getting ridiculous, all because i dont listen to every god damn word you guys tell me, its getting pretty ridiculous and im really regretting posting my age now, as i know if i didnt no one would suspect i was 15... sorry for getting a bit snarky but it drives me insane when people wont let go of the fact i like to try new things, i mean, almost everything people told me wont work has so far, i know i am pushing my luck, but i wanted to try it, is there really something wrong with that? especially when i am completely ready to remove him if he causes problems? ANYWAYS, i little update, he is doing great as of right now, no one is chasing anyone, it is calm for now, we will see :)
