This is my large male, Charles. There are two pictures. One is when I got him and he looked like crap. After a while of good care his pearls came out and now he looks pretty damn good. I thought he was a Zhen Zhu but his coloration seems too red and gold. You judge.

Shortly after I got him...About 4".

This is a recent photo. Now about 7" I think he has what some people have told me is a "Hard-KOK" And that is why his head isn't very big.

This is Edward my smaller male with more potential. I think he will get a pretty big KOK he is about 4" right now and already has a pretty good hump. I think he is a Zhen Zhu at first I thought he might be a Kampfa because of the double flowerline and the big head but I was told they have white eyes instead of red. That and I don't think he has enough pearling yet to tell. Or enough red. If that even matters. To be honest I don't really know what makes a Kampfa.

And of course my lil Matilda. She has really progressed as well. I am hoping that she develops some good color and pearling. She is about 3.5"

All of these fish were "Rescues" Charles came from a friend who was going to get rid of him because he was ugly. Edward was getting beat up in a fish store and I bought him for $15 as a "Jack Dempsey". And coincidentally Matilda was also a Jack Dempsey, this time at a PetSmart. I have a pair of 1"ers that have a lot of pearls and color and I think they have good potential. Either way I am long winded but please give me a chance and try to ID my fish. Thanks!

First on is a Red dragon, second looks to be a blue dragon, and the female is a ZZ. Best one is the Blue Dragon, IMHO, cheers!

Looks like you have got yourself some really nice FHs.
The first one sure has grown and its colors look great. Mine has a hard kok too but it seems to be growing. You will never know jumbo-avatar (7).gif

try raising your pH to 7.8 to 8.0
that might help him grow his head a bit more.
You never know, these flowerhorns are weird.
If the water isnt what they like, they dont show there true potentials.
Pump them up.
