I have created and marketed the newest in convict mutations. Technically they are Honduran red points and not hybrids. Anyway blue X platnum and instead of one or the other the babies are both. I did get the occasional platnum on spawn 2

HRP's are a different species bud. They are very similar to convicts, but they got their own species not too long ago to distinguish them from convicts. You should talk to Danz, he has a cool con project going similar to yours looks like, you get ahold of him. I'm sure he'll post here though LOL, he's a con freak. There are a couple con nutz around, you'll be in good company LOL. Welcome, and post some pictures of the fry when they grow!!

I know that they are a different species but they are too much like a convict not to think of them as a variant or type.

They do stay smaller than the massicons that I have kept over the years and they are also a lot less belligerent than their SA counterparts.

The Respectocons are way nicer than any HRP variant or convict type that I have ever witnessed.

LOL someone finally said it. I agree Gage, $20 for a convict or HRP is totally insane. Convicts are like $2 and HRP are maybe $10, don't understand how a cross could be worth $20. Like I said, I sold mine for $1 a piece to LFS and they sold them for $2.

yeah and a HRP isn't even a convict bro.

As most people suspected there is nothing special about these and pure HRP which could be picked up at your LFS for $3-6 knowing he was pulling people chain. Being a LFS employee I feel sorry for his customers, who knows what other BS he has told.

My flowerhorns are nice on every level and I stand firmly on that. I purchased the breeders because they showed exceptional traits. They passed the traits on to the young in the desired fashion.

The Flowerhorns that we sell @ the store are worth every penny. That is why there is only 4 left out of 150 total

People generally buy fish that they find attractive, and it is my firm belief that this is why they sell so fast!

I work @ the pet connection and it is a great store filled with nice fish and dry goods worth the trip to check out for yourself.
