i had seen a gorgoeus fish a month ago.. swimming about in an LFS..he looks terrible now and may die because he was not treated in time.. the LFS guy gave me the fish finally but i dont know if i wil be able to do anything... the LFS guy dint tell me much about the fish, he just said that his poop is white and he eats a bit (just enough to survive) he is a strong boy and i dont wanna put him down without trying..... i have started him on Metronidazole Tablets.. 2 tablets in about 15 gallons water... it s a lil on the higher side but the i dont have too much time to experiment... he is just lying on one side and lifts his head to eat.. he hasnt touched pellets of any kind... i will be feeding him worms in a lil while.. i have soaked them in Metronidazole....
i also suspect secondary infections...

i have also added some non iodised salt to the tub he is in ( i use this salt for all my fish )

please let me know if u have any suggestions..and please pray for the little baby....

i removed the pellets.. the tube is just an air stone.. i plan to do water changes every day.. i cant use a tank because i scoop him in a net, and open his mouth and feed him.. and he actually opens his mouth and takes in the pellets..... this is how he has been eating since morning....
when he shows an improvement and starts eating i shall put him in a 60 gallon tank...

i am doing what i can to save him..its better than him dying without a try.....am using Metro +i am using homeopathy... i use holistic treatment (homeopathy) for all my pets, and the doctor said that he has a good chance of curing with some natural therapy.... i have started him on the medicine..(its absolutely safe)

I think what is happening with you fish...the fish that is having white poop means that its digestives organs is not getting right, so I think feeding worms is the worst think..because it can cause even more deases, what you can do..is mix the water with salt in the same time rising the water temperature for around 30-32C 86F-89F it will be fine.
The other way to cure him is to find in your LFS an Anti-enteritis with rising the temperature it will help your baby...and please...don't force your fish eating...because if the fish does not eat...means had problem...you dun force...you should find the solution

I had the same problem with my prized flowerhorn.

Listen you need to be super active, do not do too many WC this will just hurt him atthis stage. Slowly raise temp to 95 degees and manually swim him thru the water, like you grab him and stroke him thru the water.

Then do not feed, everytime you feed him the internals get more F@#&^ed up, your gonna have to starve him for several days, then feed slowly.

After he eats he will flop back onto his side, when he does this, start to stroke him thru the water again.

Keep his lights off and keep a tank mate such as a parrot to stimulate him.

I saved a fish that was worse than this, and he lived for an extra 7 months with his bladder problem. When he starts to heal you need to give him a lot of space to swim. This will give him a super fighting chance

when he does show the first sign of improvment i will be giving him a 60 gallon for himself....
he is in a tub because i need to give away my other fish + i need scoop him out and feed him the medicine, which cant be done in a tank....

i think he hasnt eaten since a few days because he looks really skinny + when he tries to eat the food just falls out of his mouth....

either the LFS guy dint know too much, or he wasnt ready to part with the information.....

if you have "metro" metronidazole, just put it in the water and let it dissolve you dont need to feed it manually. 500mg per 10 gallons of water
