he hit the tank lid and destroyed his lower jaw. Dislocated and ripped part of it off. Couldn't eat and the wound got infected. he fought for month but the medication stressed him too much and finally gave up this morning.

Nothing worse than injury creates by your own fish by being too aggressive. Lots of time we just feel hopeless watching them die. Hope you will find his replacement soon

awww.. i have to be careful then.. my fish always jumps up on the lid and tries to make the food fall in the tank..
