Hi Everyone! I finally managed to upload these pics of my flowerhorn Humpy.
This is my first flowerhorn and I have no idea what breed he is or if he has potentials. Do give me your comments :) I am open to suggestions :) This post has been edited by sheeba: Jul 30 2008, 04:13 PM

decent ZZ. I'm sure he will heal fine, it's nothing to worry about. Keep water clean, add a lil salt and he'll be back to his hold self. I highly doubt the kok will grow anymore. Looks like hard kok too, and they don't get as big as waterkok does. He has pretty nice color, but I think you can improve it even more if you try. Has a lil double row too. Nice for a lower grade fish. Sounds like he has a very cool personalitie and that makes up for other shortcomings IMO.

Head will heal up totally, he is a Zhen Zhu . I don't think you are going to see much more head out of this guy... how big is he currently?

A ZZ!? Now I know...thanks guys!
Well, if I am right...he must be around 4 inches or so.... So, would giving him Chingmix head booster be a waste of money and effort? Oh...and would the color probably turn a darker pink or red? This post has been edited by sheeba: Jul 30 2008, 04:28 PM -------------------- |

Oh...and would the color probably turn a darker pink or red? Only 4 Inches? Who knows kok could explode, just not likely is all. I don't think its ever a waste feeding chingmix products. At the bare minimum you know you are getting a high quality food. Maxima will also help improve your FH's color ZZ = 'Pearl' Flowerhorn -------------------- ![]() |

Just very curious....would he turn red or just a dark pink...any ideas? Tough to tell if how solid the red will get, parents of the fish are the best indicator of how the fish will look as an adult. Just keep giving him TLC, keep up with your water changes, feed him some good food and hope for the best... thats the fun in flowerhorns IMO! -------------------- ![]() |

Great first fh.pump him up and I bet u will be surprized! Hey, thanks. I remember seeing a Zhen Zhu in another thread that looks just like Humpy but his kok was huge. I am hoping that I can get this guy pumped up to at least half of that. I have no idea of his parentage. We visited some 5 stores before deciding on this guy. His playful and friendly personality attracted us. He did not appear very colorful and his pearls only began showing after we brought him home. Now, he fits into our family like a glove.
