sup guys, im going to try breeding again, but with a Vieja instead of a parrot, i bought it as a synspilum, i dont think it is, looks like a Bifasciatus to me, but either way, its tube is down, but it isnt in great condition as far as being fed goes, shes a little skinny (with my feeding schedule that will change.
i will be breeding her with my ZZM ill get pics up ASAP |

ya, she is very small still, like 3", and he is 6", the only thing is, i have the tank set-up so she is divided on one side, and he is divided wwith a ton of other fish on the other, and he isnt paying any attention to her, so, i through him on the other side, and he just chased her, so i through him back on the other side, but hes ignoring her, is it because of the other fish? or because she is to small? her tube is out big (not egg laying big, but big) so she is sexually matured, i just dont get it. dont the females normally fight back with the male? or is that only when they are about the same size?

you know what bro. I have a proven female v. syn, and my male FH's don't even care for her. Seems like its easier to breed a male Vieja to a female flowerhorn or KKP/BP then it is a male flowerhorn to a female syn.

sounds like you have a tough task ahead bro. Hope it works out for you. The other fish could be distracting your male. Try gettign them divided alone in a single tank and see what happens. May take a few tries too. Good luck bro.

i would get them in a single tank if i could, but i have no tanks, i could try and divide my already overstocked tank 3 times, but no, there will be way to much aggression, could i put him inside the divided area and her inside something inside the divided area, if that makes sense, but what could i put her in...
