hi, im new to flowerhorns and im looking at making my first purchase in this coming week....
i am from los angeles and id appreciate it very much you guys tell me where i can get a nice FH...

ive been doing some reading here on your site (great site btw) and as i understand it there are a lot of variants of FH...
i have no real preference as to what variant to get, i am planning to get a small fish and raise it to adulthood....

right now im hoping to get a reddish, male (and hopefully with a big kok gene) FH, any inputs from you guys are truly aprreciated.

thanks

my advice to you bro is be patient and educate yourself before buying. There are many people around just in this to make a quick buck. Once you learn what to look for, and who the reliable, honest sellers are, you will find the fish of your dreams. If you rush into things you may end up paying a high price, for a fish that is low grade and you will regret it. You will find a sweet one bro, good things come to those who wait. Look at our selling section too, good deals pop up from time to time.

PATIENCE PATIENCE PATIENCE
its unfortunate that in this hobby we have big time SCAMMERS so you have to be careful your best bet is to do more research you can always ask the mods and admins for good info also I have found that keeping flowerhorns is alot different from keeping other species i kept oscars before i got into flowerhorn and found it alot harder with the upkeep hope you can find something soon good luck

your in luck bro. You are in great area to find nice flowerhorn for good prices. Keep an eye out on the sales section. If Fresno is not far, PM Julie, she has some real nice fish. Her website is www.flowerhornsfrombeyond.com or chris at aquatic central. Or there are many members in your area. I'm sure you'll find what your looking for bro.

first off welcome to the site bro, and it sounds like you want a red dragon, red body and big head. take your time when looking for one and get the one that appeals your eyes only. take your time unless you see the one that you definetly want or gotta have! good luck on your venture!
