A couple of weeks ago,I was asked on another thread, if I could supply details of my filter setup.
I thought this was a better section to post it in. The tanks I buy come complete.Sometimes the design of the filter chamber varies, but generally they have a plexi-glass filter chamber installed in one corner, and this runs from top to bottom. It is divided into three sections. The top section, contains fiter wool or mat, and has a grill in the side to enable water to enter. Middle section, contains a coarse, plastic filter media. Bottom section, contains a cheap pump which blows water and air through the side of the filter chamber, back into the main tank. The outlet of the pump has a small plastic tube attached which goes back up to the top of the chamber, and sucks in air. You can also add a bag of carbon to this section if you want. The photos show filter system's from two different tanks and differ slightly, but the general idea is the same. I'm sorry, but a couple of photo's are sideways, and I'm not clever enough to change them. I welcome your comments. Regards Jaiyenyen ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
