I had my eye on this beauty for awhile and finally got him from Julie (my sis), I was so happy and he was beautiful but during my recent vacation my big female jumped the divider and attacked him and he died shortly after. I am still crying......... 4.gif

But I am happy to say my sis was kind enough to send me his baby brother. Today I got him and he is just as beautiful.

man he was pretty nice bro, so sorry. Like the dark red in him a lot. At least you have a nice new one on the way to your tanks.

Bro. your fish looks like a female. She has markings on the dorsal fins. Males don't have it. I may still be wrong but looking at your fish, for me it's really a female that's why the other female killed her that fast.

sorry to say but he was a he and he did sire offspring. black markings in the dorsal are not foolproof. males do get them but not often.
