that was a problem with the old sp50. If you fed too much sp50 headbooster, the fish would lose pearls and color would become dull. So far there seem to be no problems with the new spk80. The problem stemmed from people feeding their fish mostly chingmix headbooster. That is why it is best to feed a good variety of live/frozen and different pellets. I have been using the headbooster for a couple months now and don't have any problems.

yeah chingmix about 4 or 5 times a week should be fine bro. Too much of a good thing is bad IMO.

I had the same problem with my FH. I had the old headbooster sp50. The colors became dull and washed out. So I picked up some sp80 headbooster and started feeding him frozen krill, frozen bloodworms, grand sumo, hikari bio gold, and sp80 maxima. His kok is getting bigger every week without losing any color. Variety is the key.

this may not be the right place to ask about XO humpy head (ocean free) but since we are asking about food i would like to ask, how good is this product and how much should i feed this to a 9 inch and a 3 inch flowerhorn?

Chingmix is the best for Kok. I feed Chingmix morning and Grand Sumo and market shrimp night time.
