Hot Damn!!!!
That's how it's done Ken.
Start out heavy so the algae don't have a chance at it.
The swords will love you if you give them a root tap fertilizer.
For the micro swords, you might want to remove them from the pot, trim out each node, and spread them all out the foreground.
That way they will fill in to make a good carpet.

Thought that I suggest one more thing.
If those swords have long roots, you should trim them off to leave just an inch. That way a new root system would grow faster.
What type of stem plants did you get?

That's a marimo ball, an ornamental type of cladophora algae. You don't want to dose Excel if you're keeping these, as prolonged exposure will kill them off.

good eye ricky haha - I dont think the tenants are very happy with me taking up all their kitchen space. I just somehow made room for 6 more tanks in that little kitchen. Cant wait till summer when its going to be like a sauna in there, feel free to drop by if you wanna lose some weight belly_laugh.gif

Dan, i m definitely going to hook it up

Don't know where he got them from, but... from the packaging it's clear these are plants originating from Florida Aquatic Nurseries, the nursery that supplies most aquatic plant specialist dealers in the country. FAN plants are sold by any number of sources, from Robert Hudson at AquaBotanic to aquariumplants.com and countless others. Dunno if Baylees buys from them as well, but wouldn't surprise me if they did.

My one and only complaint (and really, it's more of just a quibble) with FAN plants is that a lot of them are grown emmersed, and thus will have to transition over to immersed growth when introduced to an aquarium. Not a big deal, just a bit messy with some types of plants.
