Salt water?
I've never seen a good looking DIY skimmer that can do the job. -------------------- Know fish or No fish

protien skimmers arnt just for salt water, the excess food/poop or whatever clings to the bubbles and are raised into a canister at the top before it has a chance to break down into harmfull amonia . thats why dirty water gets more bubbles in it. it would almost work like a hooka... ok i just threw this together i have read up a little and this is the basics of a protien skimmer...granted the more advanced ones have more to them but this is the basic idea...

I have used protien skimmers on fresh water before and they do work. Wouldn't hurt. I have a freebie one if you want it bro. NOthing special, but pay shipping and it's yours. http://www.flowerhorncraze.com/Free-Protie...mer-t10116.html
