I just started headbooster sp80. Hes only been on it for 3 days. I was just wondering how long it took other people to see results and how they were feeding it. Some before and after pics would be nice to. I dont have a high quality flowerhorn so anybody with a low grade post some pics also.

It depends on the fish. Sometimes in just a week or two, you'll find decent development already. Not an expert though. I may still be wrong. Just talking about my experience. Post some picks bro. so we can see.

like others have said, a lot depends on the genes of the fish. It won't turn and ugly duckling into a swan, but it can't hurt either. If your fish has a hump, it might help it get a decent or notacable kok, but won't sprout a monster kok out of the blue. Christina is on right track too, variety in diet is very important too. Varied quality pellet, and live/frozen/natural "treats" are best IMO. Chingmix is definatly great stuff, but there is nothing out there that will provide our fish with everything they need all rolled into one IMO. In my experience, if you feed the HB about 3-5 times a week, and other quality pellets the other days, and the live/frozen/natural 3-5 times a week also, you get best results for kok and color/pearling. I fed him 100% HB for about a month and head did get better but color wasn't quite as nice. I started feeding big variety in diet and head is still there but color has gotten better also. Thats just my experience, and if you look around a bit, you can find enough information to decide whats best for you.

i agree.. i give him frozen bloodworms as a treat maybe once every week or 2 weeks or so just to get some of that in his diet..

we will be changing the pellets added in to the HB with the Maxima and Hikari gold color pellets to bring out more color.

i just checked on him and he seems to be doing okay except his stomach is a bit torn up and his top fins too:(

well i'll save all that for my own topic if he gets worse and i need advice....

Thank you all for the advice. I feed him maxima with frozen bloodworms in the morning, headbooster in the afternoon, and headbooster at night. Ill throw in a few mealworms and earthworms once in awhile. that was a suggestion coming from 408 flowerhorn aquarium. I do have a bag of Hikari Bio Gold Plus so ill start throwing that in there to. I also have Grand Sumo Red. Should I be feeding all of these or mix them up throughout the week? Sorry to hear about your little guy hope he makes a full recovery 23_11_56[1].gif

if he will eat it all mixed up that is easiest way. Just make sure he is getting a good variety. Some prefer to mix, I prefer to just feed one food at different times, but whatever works best for you bro. I do it my way so I can make sure he gets enough ching, but not too much, as too much of a bad thing is not good IMO.

Bro, in my case, If head boosters doen't work for a couple of weeks. I go for the exrtreme measures. This somehow gives my fish head hump. LOL belly_laugh.gif belly_laugh.gif belly_laugh.gif
