Hello all,
I was setting up some new tanks and I wanted to run them top mounted wet/dry filters. I have seen pictures of them online but was never able to find any for sale! After reading a few post on this site about home made filters I decided to make one myself. This is what I came up with. Its pretty much just a cheap 2.5 gallon acrylic aquarium from petco, a powerhead with a prefilter, some fitting from homedepot, bio mass and crate. I have since added a extra drain hole and crushed coral to it. The system works pretty darn good as long as the prefilters are cleaned often. I have had very good luck with wet/dry filters but there isnt always the space to run a sump Thanks for looking!! Any comments welcome Kalimalau |
