sorry mods didnt know where to post this.
i have a SRT iv grown out for a while (6 to 7 months) hes in a 100 gallon tank divided with him in 60%to his g/fs 40% of space, he has some rocks and a large peice of drift wood and fake plants. as of late he has gotten REALLY wild and agrressive to anything to come close to the tank, i dont want him cutting himself on the rocks and i feel he needs more room now to grow. should i add coral chips? does it matter with SRTs? also is the driftwood bad for him, im putting a black substrate and black background this week.

hello, its finally getting cold down south (50 degrees last few night and soon it will be in the 30s at night)
in my fish room (the garage) i have all my tanks set up with a large heater in the sumps. i want to upgrade to a heater in each tank while in the winter.....but i dont wanna over heat them, whats the best method of adding new heaters/making sure i dont over heat? im scared of buying smalller size heater and just "throwing them in" cuz it might be to hot. i have eight 55gallon tanks im trying to heat. every 2 tanks has a heater for a 100gallon in the sump. thanks everyone.

so yesterday I do my water changes/treated my large ZZ with primafix for a lil cloud on his fin.........then about a hour after i noticed my BP was starting to fall over on her side!
i look at all my other 8 other tanks, and there fine, i checked temps/parameters/checked to see if my heater/pumps may have failed. so my fish look uber stressed/and not moving, while my bp keeps falling over head straight down etc. this happens for like a hour im freaking out. i cant find anything wrong, i go to work and my g/f is on fish watch all night, calling me at work telling me how they look like there gasping for air still. then 8 hours later shes cals and said there ok and swimming around. wtf man, i have no idea why this happend, all i used was Prime/Prima fix which iv used countless times and all the rest of my fish were fine. today there looking great but my ZZ i treated looks like he was "burned" a lil on his fin.....like it went from a cloudy spot to looking like some one bit his fin(no damage missing fins, but a really light white color at the end). and my water is cloudy now! but i think its cuz they were stressed. i really thought i poisend them or froze them till i checked everything. sorry for the sloppy right up/bout to go to school/work but wanted to try to get this up and see if any one had some advice.
