I am not familiar with Killi fish at all but I heard some do very well in planted tanks.
Been browsing through AB and saw a bunch but I don't really know which type is for me. I would like to keep a few in my planted community tank. Please provide me the best Killi candidates per these criteria: 1. Colorful 2. Small and peaceful 3. Flakes and small pellets feeders. 4. Water temperature around 77F 5. Extremely soft water, 1KH, 1GH 6. Extremely acidic CO2 enrich water, pH low range 6 Any info is greatly appreciated. Any pictures would be much much much appreciated. Thanks

How about creating a photo album for members?
A place where members can keep pics of all their fish. Be nice to view the album and check out other people's progress and collection.

I just lost a fish from a weird disease.
His sympthoms were lost of appetite and lots of thick white jelly secretion. At first I thought he had white poop so my tried a the salt for a week. No improvement so my next attempt was metro. I was out of fresh metro so it took me a week to order new metro. During that week I was watching over him really good because I never did see white poop hanging out of his ass. I noticed that the white jelly wasn't poop but it was coming out of his mouth. He was puking this stuff and spitting it out. I did alot of research and found nothing so I went ahead and treated him with metro; my best guess was internal flagellates. After the metro treatment and a week went by he still was not taking any food. The result was a dead fish. You guys ever seen this before?

Here is a link of the worst that can happen. http://www.piersystem.com/go/doc/21/202183/
I was there at the general area and heard the entire distress conversations. Very sad indeed. Scary as hell but we'll be back next month. |
