Just want to share my 5 EBJD's which after 4 months are still growing strong! From 1.5 inches when I bought them, to 4-4.5 inches now! The greenish color is due to the flash. They're starting to show deep blue coloration. This is my very first ebjd's that's why when I was told that this fish is very sensitive until it reaches 4 inches, I took precautions. I'm suceeding so far. Thanks for viewing!

Just got this 5 Electric Blue Jack Dempsey. Saw one in Gilberts post which encouraged me to buy some. They're really nice but the picture didn't give much justice to their color. They're just 1" small but has deep blue coloration already. Is it ok for them to stay in one tank? Right now, they're in my 55 gallon tank and a bigger tank is being prepared for them when they grew up. I put some minnows in the tank to help lessen aggression if any. Right now, I really don't see one. Also, I have a pH problem on that tank. I already tried Seachem Neutral Regulator to hit 7.0 but PH still remains at around 6.6-6.8. Tried Seachem pH UP and still it stays to 6.8. Lastly, I tried API pH Up but also to no avail. Any advise will be highly appreciated. Thanks!

I'm trying to get one of my male flowerhorn a female parrot fish. How can I determin the sex of this fish. Please help. Thanks!

My male flowerhorn has been scared all over the face and part of his body after the female got fed up with him. They're OK now maybe the male had enough of her and stopped chasing her. Will his face still go back to normal coloration of it will stay as permanent scar for him? What will I do to fix this one. I don't think I have to separate them anymore becuase I think they both know now who's the boss and stopped fighting. I should have left my frying pan in front of the tank to avoid this. LOL Any opinion and advise as per you experience will be highly appreciated. Thanks!
